5 things women quickly notice about men

Physical appearance Your physique or physical build is the primary feature that any woman notices within a few seconds of seeing you. This includes everything from height to weight, features, hair, eyes and more. So, guys spend some time at the gym to stay healthy inside out. And, don’t forget about personal grooming. Please keep your hands and nails clean, for instance. Style sense In next few seconds, your fashion and style sense is on her scanning radar. The way you dress up speaks a lot about your personality. This doesn’t mean that you have to look like a movie star all the time, but avoid making silly fashion mistakes like wearing sport shoes on formal pants. You may not know, but she will notice all these things and more. Confidence Women love bold, upfront and confident men who have opinion and views. During initial conversation, she tries to know how confident you are and how you approach things, positively or negatively. Accordingly, they get positive or negative vibes from you. Be positive and humble while talking to a woman and put forward your point too. However, don’t try to lead a conversation, have a conversation with her. Don’t try to act smart. Communication Women label you boring if you can’t keep up the conversation. So, leave those one-liners, hold her attention and make the session lively. The more you communicate, the more she will know about you. She might notice your communication skills, so be yourself and avoid arrogance. Sense of humour Women love guys who have a good sense of humour and who can make them laugh. They are quite popular with women and they feel comfortable and candid with such men. Start the first conversation on a light and funny note to churn out the positive results. Avoid dirty jokes during first conversation and earn bonus points with healthy humour.

SAD: MOTHER SELL 3 DAYS OLD BABY FOR #260,000

According to a report by Punch, a nursing mother in Akwa Ibom named Imaobong Udoh (pictured above) has been arrested for allegedly selling her 3-day old baby girl for N260,000. Full report below Also arrested along with Imaobong were four persons for allegedly participating in the theft of the baby. They are the buyer, Mrs. Regina James; her husband, Mfon James; the traditional birth attendant who delivered the baby, Mrs. Comfort Henry; and Mr Emmanuel Okon, a homeopathic doctor, who arranged the sale. Commissioner of Police, Mr. Umar Gwadabe, said in Uyo on Monday that the father of the baby had reported the theft to the police, leading to the arrest of the suspects. Gwadabe said, “On March 3, 2014, a case of child stealing was reported by Mr. Eteobong James, of No. 33 Urua Ekpa Road, Itu Local Governmnet Area, to the police, where a three- day-old baby girl was sold for N260, 000. “Based on the report, the suspects were arrested. “Mr Emmanuel Etim Okon, was the one that arranged the infamous deal and personally conveyed the baby from the point of delivery at Nna-Enin in Uruan Local Government Area to the buyers at No. 37 Church Road, Uyo.” The police boss explained that Regina allegedly paid N150,000 to the mother of the baby and N110,000 to Okon, the homeopathic doctor, for his services. The commissioner stated that the accused would soon be arraigned in court and warned child thieves to steer clear of the state. He explained that the state would not be conducive for their illicit trade. Husband of the buyer, James, who spoke with PUNCH METRO said when his wife told him she was pregnant, he gave her money for ante-natal care, but was surprised to hear that she bought the baby. He said, “l am a trader. My wife, Regina, told me she was pregnant and I gave her money for ante- natal. One day, she told me she was in labour and later informed me that she had been delivered of a baby girl. “I did not know she bought the baby since she has given birth to four children, though three died.” However, the homeopathic doctor said Regina brought the mother of the baby, Imaobong, to him so that he could take care of her during ante- natal. He said Regina had explained to him that the father of the baby was not financially buoyant to take care of her. He denied collecting N110,000 from Regina, stating that he only collected N30,000, which was the cost of delivery of Imaobong’s baby. “When Regina brought Imaobong to me, she told me that the man responsible for the pregnancy was unable of take care of her. “The N30,000 I collected from her was for the upkeep of Imaobong before and during delivery of the baby. I did not collect N110,000.” Source: Punch

7 THINGS YOU SHOULD NOT SAY ABOUT YOUR EX

1. “I STILL LOVE HIM”
I my opinion, this is one of the most important things you should never say about your ex to anyone. If you still feel this way and it’s been a while since you two broke up, just try to keep it to yourself. By keep telling other people how much you loved him and how much you still do, you’ll only prolong the healing process, so that’s why, sometimes it’s best to just “fake it ‘till you make it”.
2. “HE WAS SUCH A JERK!”
This is another thing you should definitely avoid when talking about your ex, no matter how long it has been since you two broke up. It’s just not nice to say bad things about people, especially about someone with whom, at a certain point in your life, were pretty happy. You will only look bitter and full of remorse. Sure, you might be right and he might be a jerk but again, keep it to yourself! You are a lady, remember?
3. EMBARRASSING THINGS
Well, you should take my advice and believe me on this one: is not very nice to share all those embarrassing things about your ex with everyone you know. They might seem quite entertained at first, but after a while, they will be thinking what would you say about them if they would ever upset you. So, it’s better to just be polite and keep your mouth shut, because after all, everyone has all kinds of embarrassing stuff that no one knows about, even you and you wouldn’t like it if everybody else found out about them.
4. “HE WAS CHEAP”
I know most women, after they break up, say this out of spite and they don’t really mean it. It’s such a harsh thing to say and even if it were true, still, it’s not a nice thing to say. Everyone has a different lifestyle and everyone chooses to spend their money the way they want. You’ll only sound high maintenance by always complaining about what he did with his money or how he spent it.
5. SECRETS
Another thing you should definitely avoid saying about your ex is pretty much everything he told you in absolute confidence. He trusted you and confided in you, so even if at this point you may think that he doesn’t deserve to be treated nicely, think again and do it for yourself! Don’t spill all kinds of secrets about him, his childhood or his family. Other people might get hurt and they’ve got nothing to do with your relationship. 6. “THE SEX WAS BAD.”
This is such a cold thing to say about your ex-partner! Unless he or she just laid in your bed like a dead fish in the water, every time you got busy, how good he or she was in bed is totally subjective and you have to admit that you’d only say this out of bitterness and not because you mean it. There are certain details about your relationship that are best kept private and this is definitely one of them.
7. “EVERYTHING HE (SHE) DID WAS AWFUL.”
You know this isn’t true. Even if you don’t wanna admit it, you know he has a lot of great qualities that impressed you in the first place. So, stop telling people how awful was everything he did or how terrible were the things he thought or said. You should focus only on yourself, on the things you want, and on what should you do next, basically on making yourself happy.

10 WAYS TO PREVENT BREAST CANCER

New figures show that breast cancer is now the most common form of the disease in Britain. This country also has the highest death rate for the disease in the world.
But statistics also show that nine out of ten of us are willing to make lifestyle changes to reduce our risk of the disease.
The truth is, much research is still needed to understand breast cancer - and its causes - fully. But there are certain steps every woman can take to help reduce their chances of developing the illness.
Here are our top ten tips to help prevent breast cancer.
  • Be 'breast aware'
More than 90 per cent of breast tumours are detected by women themselves, so keeping an eye on changes to your breasts should be an important part of every woman's health care. Advice on exactly when and how women should examine their breasts has changed in recent years.
Medics no longer advise women to examine their breasts every month in a regimented way as they believe that this may cause them to become over-anxious. Instead, women are now advised to become 'breast aware'. This means getting to know what your breasts look like in front of a mirror, and feel like - perhaps in the shower or lying down - at different times of the month so that if an abnormal change occurs you can spot them at once.
  • Breast-feed your babies
Some studies have shown a link between breast-feeding and a lower risk of developing breast cancer, although there is still no clear consensus on this. Researchers who believe there is a link claim the
 Breast feeding
younger the mother and the longer she breast-feeds her baby the better. The claims are based on the theory that breast cancer is related to the hormone oestrogen. Many researchers believe the more our bodies are exposed to this hormone the greater the risk of the disease. Breast-feeding temporarily reduces a woman's oestrogen levels. It is also thought that breast-feeding causes the breast to go through certain physical changes that protect them against cancer-causing chemicals.
  • If you find a lump, go to see your doctor as soon as possible
Research shows that many, many women delay going to see a doctor if they find a lump in their breast because they are afraid they have cancer. This is the worst thing you can do. Firstly, nine out of ten breast lumps are not cancer, so visiting your doctor will usually help you put your mind at rest. Secondly, if your lump is cancerous, prompt treatment could save your life.
  • Find out if you have a family history of breast cancer
Much research is still needed before scientists fully understand all the causes of breast cancer. But one thing is known for sure: genetic breast cancer accounts for at least ten per cent of all cases of the illness. It is thought that one in five hundred people carry a faulty gene which can make them susceptible to the disease.
Those most likely to have inherited breast cancer are those with many relatives diagnosed with the disease at a young age, women who have had a close relative with breast cancer in both breasts and women whose family has a history of both breast and ovarian cancer. If your mother had breast cancer, however, it does not necessarily mean that you will develop the disease.
If you are concerned that the disease may run in your family visit your GP. If he or she believes there is cause for concern you may be referred for a special test which can identify if you carry the faulty gene linked to the illness.
  • Watch your alcohol intake
Alcohol has been linked to breast cancer in a number of studies. Researchers believe this may be due to the fact that
Alcohol
alcohol increases oestrogen levels. But experts disagree about how much alcohol increases the risk of breast cancer.
Some say that even moderate amounts are unsafe, while others claim that drinking up to 14 units a week - more than two bottles of wine - might even improve your chances of avoiding the disease. Until more research is done, doctors generally claim that drinking more than 14 units of alcohol a week (14 small glasses of wine) over a long period of time can damage your overall health.
  • Watch your weight
Obesity appears to increase the risk of breast cancer. Researchers found that women who gained 44 to 55 pounds after the age of 18 had 40 per cent higher risk of getting breast cancer than women who fluctuated by only four or five pounds throughout their adult life. Animal studies have shown that reducing calorie intake by 30 per cent can lead to a 80 - 90 per cent reduction in the risk of breast tumours.
  • Exercise regularly
Some studies suggest that exercise can reduce the risk of breast cancer. This is because research indicates that the less you exercise, the higher the levels of oestrogen in the body. Half an hour of exercise three times a week is good for all round health, may decrease your risk of breast cancer and will also help you maintain your weight.
  • Eat less fat
There is much debate about the link between breast cancer and diet. But there is evidence that certain western lifestyle factors - particularly our high fat diet - appear to increase the risk of the disease. For example, scientists found that although Japanese women have a much lower risk of developing breast cancer than women in the West, when they moved to the USA the women's risk was almost equal within two generations. Try to eat no more than 70g of fat a day.
  • If you are over 50 go for regular breast screening
Although much more research is needed to determine the causes of breast cancer one of the well-established key risk factors is age. Eighty per cent of breast cancer cases occur in women over 50. All women in Britain are entitled to free breast screening - an X ray that can determine lumps in the breast - between the ages of 50 and 64. The scheme is set to be extended to women up to the age of 70 within the next two years.
The Government has published figures that showed the scheme is saving many hundreds of lives. In fact, by 2004 there will be 20 per cent fewer cancer-related deaths among older women because of the screening. Currently women of the target age will receive a letter inviting them to be screened every three years.
  • Learn to relax
It's well documented that stress can cause all kinds of health problems. But a British survey in 1995 concluded that women who reported severe stress in the previous five years were 50 per cent more likely to have breast cancer. Although there is still some debate over these findings reducing your stress levels will undoubtedly be beneficial for your overall health.
A recent report showed that two in every three workers spend 20 hours a week thinking about work in their spare time and a third of us suffer depression on Sunday evenings because we dread going back to work. Every area of our health can suffer, from sleep and eating patterns to our mental health and sex lives.
